I can't get my six-month-old to take her medicine! What should I do?

Dear Tennessean,
I'm sorry she's sick! They don't know the meds are good for them, and try as you might to tell them they'll feel better, there's just no reasoning with them! My trick: Put the right amount of meds into the nipple of a bottle and give her the nipple. She'll suck it all down before she has even tasted it! Follow up with the real thing to get the taste out and to soothe her indignation.
